This was a gift that I sent to some old friends for their baby. I was pleased with the way both things turned out. The blanket was hard to finish because it was boring... but that turned out to be a good thing since I put the project to the side and then lost the pattern. I was able to look at the what I had already done and was able to see the pattern.

The blanket was made with Caron Simply Soft. I used one strand of white and one strand of green.

I will definitely be making this blanket again....

6 hour afghan

This is the completed 6-hour afghan that I made for my mom's bosses for Christmas.

The pattern was found on Lionband and it is made with two strands of chocolate homespun and two strands of cream homespun held together and knit with size 50 needles.

Hococo the Lemur

This was the stuffed lemur I made for my sister for Christmas. The pattern is Hococo. I am really pleased with how he turned out. I had the pieces all knit up by September but I waited until I moved to Florida to finish him and I recruited my mom to help me seam him up since I am SO bad at it.

I gave her this little guy and Madagascar. King Julius is her favorite character.

She told me on Saturday that when my nephew (who is almost 4) who has Down Syndrome sees the movie he says "Move, move" to the same beat as "(You Got to) Move It". I love it.

This is the completed Baby Beanie and Booties that I made for my coworker's sister's baby shower.

This was Princess Ivi last weekend. That is her hiding behind her book. She spent all Sunday in bed reading.


Both of these are shots of the sandhill cranes that come and hang out in our yard on the weekends.






This is Princess Ivi's completed birthday blanket. It was the Basketweave Pattern from Leisure Arts #4165, Quick Knits with Speed Stix made with three strands of Homespun and one of Vanna's Choice. I am pretty pleased with it.

The tassels were interesting to make. They looked like little purple ghosts.

I hope that not too much of the Homespun fluffs off.



I am going to try to take more pictures and post them here. I will be making a post in the coming days of recent knitting projects that I never posted pictures of.
